The Peripety 12-week Life Swat and therapeutic program is meant to empower women and provide the missing resources needed to move their story in a positive direction.
How We Started
Meet Our Founder Kathleen Saucerman
In Peripety founder Kathleen Saucerman's initial dialogue with global business expert Jamie Pearson, the notion of failure surfaced. In their exploratory conversation, Jamie said: "We don’t fail, we pivot. We adjust the plan." It marked one of those truly serendipitous moments where Kathleen heard the exact message she needed. True to form, she delved into research. A lifelong aspiration of hers has been to become a published author, and the literary term "Peripety," meaning "sudden turning point," came into purview.
Jamie has since become Kathleen’s advisor, business mentor, and friend. That conversation inspired the founding of Peripety, a nonprofit organization that serves as a turning point for women facing some of life’s toughest challenges. From expert guidance on financial wellness to steadfast support in family law matters, we have curated a network of the country's foremost specialists to ensure you're never without assistance or resources in times of crisis.
Kathleen is also an entrepreneur, family crisis advocate, and mother. She founded Deanie M, an organization to ignite wellness and foster community connections, as well as Noramlize Canna, a marketplace for high quality plant products including its own heritage brand.

Peripety is a community and resource provider for women and families in need, providing crisis resources, online therapy, life skills and tips for mothers and families, children & family programs, and more. We welcome support and collaboration from other organizations.
